Description
A nice bloc because it sits away from the main sector and has not been vandalized with graffiti. This boulder features "Ratchet Strapped", a quality line that climbs the shield feature for which the boulder gets it's name. Also featured on this bloc are several nice warm-ups to the right of this line to help you find your flow.
Getting There
Once you reach the "Best" boulder walk around the left side of this bloc with the spray painted slab problem which you can see as you approach the boulder. Continue on the trail about 40 yards past the "Best" boulder until you see the top of a bloc to your right. This is the top of the shield boulder.
