Description
The hurricave is a somewhat chossy and very steep limestone cave located about 15 minutes from downtown hurricane, which is 45 min northeast of St. George. I believe the majority of the routes were established by Joey Kinder and crew, as a few mags had some cool photos of him years back sending some hard 5.14 lines, though more mortal grades also exist.
The cave has very loose footing , but route developers have put some time into making most of the belay stances flat and sturdy. But this definitely isn't chuckawalla in any sense. Most routes have fixed draws, but some do not.
The cave faces due west and is located at about 3000', so it's largely a winter afternoon or spring/fall morning endeavor, though routes deep inside the cave likely don't get any sun.
I lack knowledge about the names and grade consensus of all the routes as I have only pieced together what I have found online, but i hope those that know will post that info.
Here's a video of Joe climbing some routes in the cave.

Getting There
From state street in downtown hurricane turn south onto 700 w(chevron on the corner). Follow 700w past a few schools and churches in the residential area for 2.2 miles. Turn right on 2050 s (sign for sand hollow resort) and follow it as it quickly turns south again and is now renamed 1100 w. Follow 1100 w for another 2 miles till you see a gravel pit business(or something involving dirt and large trucks) on the left and 3 big caves in the obvious rock cliff behind. Just after this turn left on "cliff rd"(3270 s) Follow this 1/4 mile, turn right onto the dirt road after the houses and park in the established dirt lot. The hurricave is the largest of the visible caves. Follow a good but steep trail marked with cairns to the cave, about 15 min.
Google mapping "cliffdweller ranch rd" will get you to the gravel pit business if you are coming from another direction. An even easier way to navigate here is by punching in "W 3270 S, Hurricane, Utah" into google maps. Cliffs drive does not show up when searched. I believe a 13a in the cave is named cliffdweller.
