"It is prohibited to rock climb outside of the designated zone or to establish rock climbing facilities in the park without permission."
Description
Another gem of the jungle. This area contains six routes with potential for several more. The first route put up was a trad route! Grades are not set, but should be in the range of 10a-12a. Top access is possible, but not recommended. The taller aspect of this area doesn't suffer from the "dampness" issue as much as AC Wall and The Abyss, but some routes can be pretty nasty out of season. The routes tend to be mildly overhanging, with pockets and edges and the occasional melty pillars and fins.
Please watch your step as you approach and at the base of the climbs. This area could use some work putting in a trail to prevent erosion, and flatter belay areas to prevent injury. It's okay now, but could be better.
In the mid-evening, the monkeys tend to make their commute through the trees overhead. This can be startling if you don't expect it, but pretty magical if you take the time to watch them.
Getting There
From the entrance of Skyline, turn right and walk downhill. Continue straight and turn left onto the first trail - look for a boulder next to a tree with red dots. Continue along this, past Hobo Wall, until you see a pit on your right. Turn left and go downhill - the wall will appear shortly. It is very close to the boardwalk.
