Description
KinderCare is a fun location for those that are looking to spend a day taking things a bit easier. Ratings range from V0 to V7, but are mostly comprised of easier ratings. I haven't seen one person out here since I've started developing and I can tell that no one has climbed here before. The granite is crumbly in sections so be wary of foot and hand placements.
A few years back there was a fire that came through the hills of KnderCare, and killed a lot of the plants that kept the rocks secluded. During the fall of 2014, a team of firefighters chopped most of the burnt and dead brush in the area, exposing the rocks that were once hidden. Since my recent discovery, we have spent countless hours removing dead brush, raking, shoveling, and maintaining the area to make it safer and more accessible to others. There is currently a total of 14 documented routes. The area is split up into two sections, the Upper and Lower KinderCare Boulders.
