Access Issue: Do not trespass on private property
Details
Many areas in the Makaleha Mountains are privately owned. Do not trespass-obtain permission from the landowners before crossing any boundary lines.
Description
The Makaleha Mountains are immediately north and west of the town of Kapaa and are often drenched by a number of rainstorms. However, it has an abundance of rock that receives direct sunlight and dries quickly.
There are a number of cliffs on both sides of the trail as you hike in to the waterfall. They can be approached, barely, via a perilous, convoluted, mosquito ridden bushwack. There are several easy 20-25 ft. climbs and handcracks that can be soloed.
