DescriptionThis north-facing wall sits up and right above White Mountain Tours on CO Highway 91. Sitting on Forest Service land, this wall of quality granite holds good potential for new routes, both bolted and mixed gear and bolts, with lengths up to 80' in the center of the wall and shorter sections of good rock to either side.
The name is a jest, as all the locals I mentioned the wall to seemed to be unaware of its existence, though once you see it, it is very obvious. I am certain this wall has seen other climbing, as I found one piton high on a difficult-looking face. Please let me know if you have different names or first ascent information for this area.
Getting ThereAccess without crossing White Mountain Tours's property involves fording a series of beaver ponds or the stream. Park along the side of the road on a pullout, cross the water, and head up. If you want to stay dry and cross WMT's property, please remember to ask. WMT already graciously hosts the parking for Cecilville Slabs. Let us not wear out our welcome.
