Description
A shady retreat from the summer heat. If wind is blowing from south or southwest this area is out of the wind. If wind is blowing from North or NW then it will be super windy here.
A fun jug haul destination with super pumpy open handed sport climbing. If only routes were longer they would be megaclassics. Quartzite is super solid, featured, and fun. Avoid bouldering as this quartzite can have small holds snap occasionally.
Getting There
Depending on clearance, (if Subaru)park at pulloff next to the old rusted car and walk further up rockier section of road to the turnaround. Proceed west up creek bed and when you get under the steep short crag shoot straight up the hill through the sage and make your way south up to some huge table rock boulders. Lots of concentrated fun, albeit short routes. You can walk up the 3rd class chimney with your pack and walk south to access Towers of Bologna and Twin Towers area.
Follow attached map in photos section following yellow line that is north of Solar Sanctuary and just south of mine.
