Description

The 19 Mile Wall can be seen a few hundred feet above the highway as you head up Thompson Pass. If plowed you can park at a pullout right under the wall. Be respectful of the DOT snow plows and other drivers on the road and don’t park on the highway. This crag hosts a few moderate and difficult routes. It receives all day sun yet often has cooler temps than ice in town making it great for warm winter days. The view form all the climbs here are breath taking and will make this an outing to remember.

Getting There

19 Mile Wall as the title suggests is located at above mile marker 19 on the Richardson Highway. Drive to the base of Thompson Pass and park at the closest pullout to the wall. Be respectful of other traffic and DOT snow plows. Hike straight up the snow to the base of the wall.
