Description
Despite Albany Peak and Baldy Knob are just across the wide Cottonwood Park [valley] from Laramie Peak the rock types are two different Archean terranes and the fault lies beneath the valley. Albany Peak and Baldy Knob are Reese Mountain terrane whereas the west side is Laramie Peak Granites which often have far less face features.
The summit of Albany Peak is a twin summit of several long ridges not obvious when looking at either the east or west side. To see these ridges better consult the google pic map in the highest resolution.
Hubbard's Cupboard is near the 2-track turn off. When the store bar dance hall cafe is open you can get these amenities after climbing. No gas though.

Getting There
The Cottonwood Park Rd is a good gravel road along the eastern base of Laramie Peak and just south of Hubbard's Cupboard you will find a turnoff to the east on a 2-track that is the access to both Albany and Baldy. See Map photo for GPS Waypoint 2 which is at junction for choosing which outcrop you will be going to.
