Cañón de la Calavera is a smaller off-shoot canyon toward the east end of Buitrera Canyon. This little canyon is beautiful and offers cooler temps as much off if gets shade most of the day.

There are four sub-sectors as per the guidebook within this slot canyon. As you you walk into the canyon you'll find these

Sub Sector A: Cortas. Located 80m on your right

Sub Sector B: Las Cueva. Located 100m on your right

Sub Sector C: Las Gradas. Located 100m on your left

Sub Sector D: Punta de Flecha. Located 120m on your right

These sport routes range from 5.10 to 5.14, vertical to severely overhanging, short to long.

Getting There Suggest change

Hike into Buitrera Canyon for quite a ways. On the right, you will see small canyon branching off. On the left side of the entrance to the canyon, there is an overhanging wall with tons of large pockets and some bolted routes. Continue into the small canyon and you will find routes on both sides of the canyon.
