Description
Situated on FSR 23, just off the Mountain Loop Highway, this compact area has, by comparison to most west side bouldering areas, a zero approach! To date, there are around 30 established problems and several projects. Grades range from V0s to V8s, the projects will be considerably harder.
Getting There
Directions: (About 1hr 45 min from Seattle) From Seattle: Head north on I-5. Take Exit 208, route 530 east toward Darrington, via Arlington. From the four-way stop at the Shell gas station in Darrington, turn Right onto Mountain Loop Highway (South). Follow this for approximately 9 miles. Just past the White Chuck Boat Launch and where the pavement ends, turn left (east) onto FSR 23. Follow this for 4.3 miles to a pullout on the left side of the road and park here. Walk up the road (east) for approximately 60 meters and look for an obvious cairn on the right side of the road (south side). Take this trail and the first boulder (The Welcome Boulder) is approximately 100 meters from the road.
