Description

Easily discerned by the huge red face sloping into Gothic valley, Avery Peak offers multiple routes leading up to a beautiful and airy summit. A relatively short approach with amazing views in all directions makes this peak a fun and easy scramble.

Getting There

From Crested Butte head North on 317 passing through the town of Mt. Crested Butte and eventually Gothic. The peak will be easily visible to the right. Park in the lot directly below the large, red face. There will be a bathroom in the lot and an old road heading towards the peak.
