Description
The climbs in this area are full of quality ice from mid-winter through spring. There are three good flows.
Getting There
From Walsenburg, follow Colorado 69 to the town of Gardner. Go about 1/2 mile further on CO 69 to a brown Forest Service sign that says Mosca Pass. Turn South. Follow this road for approximately 22 miles. About 11.5 miles in, stay left on Forest Service Road 580. Once you reach Singing River Ranch, this is where the plowed portion of the road ends. Continue (by car, foot, skis, etc. depending upon road conditions) about 5.5-6.1 miles and park somewhere just shy of the trailhead.
Once parallel to the ice across the gully to the east, leave the road and bushwhack east through the trees down to the river and up to your climb.
