Description Suggest change

This is the small cluster of towers and faces that defines the southernmost development of Northern Devils (the power tower and the rest were developed a decade before and should be considered part of the picnic area or the sunburn crag). It gets a bit of everything... morning sun, afternoon shade, shelter from the prevailing winter winds but enough summer breezes to survive all but the hottest days.

Getting There Suggest change

From the power station, hike around the south side of the fence, to an old road, marked with cairns and blocked by boulders, that runs south from the fence to a hilltop with some pretty amazing boulders (Thunder Island). At the base of the hill, turn left and stay on the trail as it winds around to a wash just shy of the rim of the canyon (the trail to the Creek Walls splits off to the left, here). Continue down the wash another 150 yards and follow the trail up left on some broken stone strato to arrive at a small area behind an east-facing tower, The Troll Wall. The Troll Hut is the cluster of faces and stubby towers below. The routes on the Troll Wall are the short 5.5 Working Class and the longer 5.8 Sendero D'oro.
