Description

Volx is a nice spot in the South East of France. The rock made of limestone is nice to climb all the year long, even thought it may be very warm during summer (climb at night!).
There is a nice grotto hosting major routes up to the legendary "Super plafond", 5.14c. But don't be affraid, there are also many routes for beginners!

If you go there during christmas break, there is a giant nativity scene which can engender safety issues for a couple of routes in the grotto.

Getting There

From Aix-en-Provence/Marseille : follow Sisteron/Gap until Manosque (exit the highway), then keep following Sisteron by national road (green signs)
Once in Volx, take the road climbing in the village, and follow the sign ("Site d'escalade")
There is a parking lot in the area.
