Description
The best problems can be found near the intersection of Slater and Adams Creeks. This is not world class bouldering...if you are passing through the area, it is a fun roadside stop. There is nothing too much over V0 easy. Most of the limestone is fairly solid. The crag sticks out like a sore thumb as you reach the area, it is north of the road & creek and south of Shield Mountain. The area is an in open meadow...lots of wind and lots of sun.
Watch out for rattlesnakes among the rocks...lots of other mice, marmot, and such living along the rock and cliffs.
If you are passing through the area, this is a fun addition to the tour of Black Mountain and California Park...not a bouldering destination!!!!
Getting There
