Description
Open FOR THE SEASON
Moonlight is the newest addition to the GHSP bouldering areas. Late summer 2011, myself and several other climbers from VA FAd close to 50 new problems throughout the Moonlight Area.
Moonlight has incredible boulders and interesting features. Some boulders are typical GHSP style, while others have style and characteristics all of their own. There are short little low-ball boulders and harrowing highball lines. You can find steep faces, roofs, and even vertical faces and an easy slab or two (pretty uncommon for Grayson). Basically all bases are covered in the Moonlight.
Moonlight Area is broken down into three sub areas. In the order that they occur on the walk in are: Tall Wall Area, Ginseng Area, and then the Moonlight Area.
