Access Issue: Closed Compound Details

Dhahran is a closed compound owned by the oil company Saudi Aramco

Description

Dhahran is on the coast, so you get hot weather with lots of humidity. Winter is the best time to climb, when you get temps in the 70s. Watch out for Shamal days, where the air is filled with sand. The rock here is dolomite, which is hard on your hands and hard on your shoes. I find I do much of my climbing here in gloves because the rock is so sharp. There is awesome bouldering and some short trad or TR pitches here on Jebels, which are small rock outcroppings that can be found all over camp.
