Description

This small bouldering area has several nice schist boulders located below a small cliff. The cliff might be good for some beginer top roping 5.2-5.7 and offers some unique hueco features but requires some cleaning. At the base of the cliff is a large HB boulder we call the Tallon. Directly to its right is another set of problems with okay landings.

Further down the hill at the bottom of the slope is another two cluster of boulders. There are a quite a few lines, both difficult and easy, on these boulders. Mostly good landings with some poison ivy in the area. Buggy in the spring. I named the place after the large quantity of tree tops which had fallen on top of the boulders. The massive trees have been since chainsawed and cleared away from the problems (Jan. 2012).

(If some elder folks know of this area and a have different name please PM me.)

At then next little dip in the hillside (40ft down the road, continue up the small ridge to the top of the hill. Continue walking straight back towards the cliff line until you see boulders at the base of the scree field. At the top of the scree field are several problems as well.

Finally found this place last week. Bring your bug spray and a machete because its incredibly overgrown and bugs are in a feeding frenzy. Definitely a place to visit in cooler weather! Sep 7, 2014
