Description Suggest change

This picturesque area sees little traffic; possibly due to the rugged hike required to see it and somewhat remote location. Has every hold imaginable.

You can access the top of the face by scrambling around to the left or right, then hugging the wall up a sloping area. The top has three sets of anchors, with three bolts each, that are 7-10 ft back from the edge. There are also rappel rings at the top of routes out on the face.

If you're looking for a warm-up rappel for beginners, there is a smaller boulder (10-15 ft high) to the left of the main face here, which can be set up with some of the large trees as natural anchors.

Getting There Suggest change

Take the main trail from the parking lot. Go up main trail past the bridge, 3 staircases, switchback, and mid-trail boulders. Continue up from the helipad toward the Main Face. After a few steep inclines start looking for a faint trail to your right. This trail will dead end you into this massive rock. If you hit the gravel road with the gate that runs to the top of the mountain you have gone too far.
