Description
Synthetic climbing wall located near downtown Columbus put up in 2009.
The wall is full of many bolted holds, but the "real" climbing involves ignoring these and ascending using natural features only. Please help compile a list of routes using natural features only (climbing using the bolted holds is generally very easy, 5.9 or easier). Insight from those who played a part in constructing the wall would be greatly appreciated.
There are many bouldering routes, about 15 top rope anchors, 4 auto-belays (in the summer), and 3 routes with bolts for lead climbing. The area has a spongy playground-style floor, but if bouldering higher off the ground you should bring crash pads.
To set up a top rope, you'll need to ascend the north side of the wall where you can do an easy scramble to the top. If safety is your thing, you can clip in to the steel cables running along the top of the wall. Anchors are generally easy to access, but note that many of the anchors are at least 6-10 feet away from the safety cables on the top of the wall, so if you want to stay clipped in while setting a top rope, bring a long leash or sling.
Routes are sorted from left to right, starting on the leftmost side of the west side of the wall (farthest from the parking lot).
