Access Issue: Texas Climbers Coalition Property - Now Open Details

TCC Notes - San Antonio we have good news! Medicine Wall is open for climbing. We’ve been wanting this just as bad as you and we are excited to bring outdoor climbing to the San Antonio climbers. Thanks to the Access Fund for all their hard work on this project. A couple of quick house keeping things:

✔️It is open for all to enjoy. No commercial use of the property yet.

✔️Please wear a mask if applicable and follow other CDC guidelines especially until all the routes are able to spread folks out.

✔️Trail access is at the 1604 and Shavano Creek parking lot. Eisenhower parking will be also used when it is open.

✔️Use common sense and care for the property.

✔️We will have volunteer opportunities. Keep an eye out for cleaning and trail projects in 2021!

Description

6/19/20 - OT is back! Please use the photo topo for the best info right now. Descriptions, routes etc will be updated as time allows.

The Tallest Wall found at the "Med". The upper section is a bit chossy so be careful. The lower tier has some good rock on it.

Getting There

Follow the trail till walls appear on your left. OT is the tallest one near the far end. Look for an obvious, orange rock scar near the top. Just walk down the dirt trail past the MedWall signage and you'll be at the main base area. OT is the one on the left.
