Maxwell Falls Bouldering

All boulders and routes are accessed by parking at Maxwell Falls Trailhead (AKA Upper Maxwell Falls Trailhead). Do not park at Maxwell Falls Lower Trail which will increase approach times significantly. See each sub-area for specific directions once parked at Maxwell Falls Trailhead.

Approach times vary by area from 10-30 minutes, but invariably are longer on the way out which is uphill.

(Previously: start from Evergreen around the lake is CO 74, Turn right at the intersection CO 73 heading toward Conifer, follow this road for a couple miles, and you will see Brook Forest Road. Turn right, and follow the road 3 miles past the Brook Forest Inn. Once you pass the Inn, there are two parking lots 1.25 miles up the road (left on Black Mountain Rd.), the first one is on the left after a couple of switchbacks. There is a wood fence that goes along the road. Park and follow the trail to the cliffs. The second parking lot is the actual Maxwell Falls parking lot. It's a very distinct parking lot at the bottom of the road on your left. This will take you to the falls and the bottom of the cliffs.
