Description
Remote cobble climbing like maple canyon. Very exposed, high on a canyon wall. Great belay area. Near some great pictographs in the parowan gap.
The area is quite remote. The whole time we were there, there was only one other car that even drove by on the road. Only the wind and the ravens for company, all day...
Getting There
From I-15, take either Parowan exit and turn onto Gap Road from Main Street. The area is on the WEST side of parowan. Follow the signs that say "pictographs"
The crag is reddish in color and obviously filled with cobbles. It will be visible on the right about 11 miles out of parowan.
there is a little pull out at the base of the cliff. It is about a 10-15 minute (steep) hike up to the crag.
The crag is south facing, and gets sun most of the day. The right most part would be in the shade later in the afternoon and the left most part would be in the shade in the morning.
