Description
Still Chugach crud, just a much more solid version. Some boulders are bullet, while others need cleaning after the freeze and thaw.
Getting There
From Anchorage, take the Glenn Highway to the second Eagle River Exit, and follow the signs to the Eagle River Nature Conservation Center. Parking is five dollars. Take the Dew Mound Trail for 2.5-3 miles until you run into a large overhanging boulder. This boulder is the Frostbite boulder, which was developed, FA'd and cleaned by Jared LaVacque and Thomas Scupp. The potential for future development is fairly extensive, just bring brushes and some time to remove moss or lichen on the top-outs.
