Description
Rick's Rocks is a southeastern facing cliff along the Kittatinny Ridgeline about 10 miles north of Interstate 80 in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. A single-pitch area with similar rock quality and type as the DWG which means bring a helmet . Lots of loose rocks and vegetation but the established routes themselves are clean. A long static rope is necessary to set up top-ropes on the top of the cliff. Mostly easy to moderate climbs with pretty good protection. The Catfish Fire Tower is about 1/2 mile south along the Appalachian Trail with a 360 degree view of NY , NJ , PA. This place is usually quiet and not too crowded with the exception of the summer months when local camps frequent the cliff .
