Description
A 140 foot hole that is a short slot canyon, shielded from sun inside almost all day, making it great for summer. Long sport lines on clean quartzite.
Getting There
Just east of claypool, go north on Hwy188, then take hwy 288. You will pass a shanty village called willow. Continue up switchbacks to lower foothills of the Sierra Anchas. Use GPS coordinates, you will take a left at an easy to miss dirt road, then first right on another dirt road until it ends. Park there (33°45'53.0"N 110°58'33.3"W). Drive time from Mesa is about 2 hrs. A five to ten minute walk from the car brings to you to rap in. Follow a wash down hill and to the right of parking area over a couple of drops through dry wash until you come to where it empties in the narrow, dark slot. This is the icebox. The higher bolted anchor is the anchor for Rocky Road, a great line and the preferred airy rap in. The route Whipped Cream is on opposite wall - you can see the bolt line ascending from the dark abyss!
