Description
This is a secluded section of cliffs in the upper canyon with a few meager flows. The walls of the cliff get close to the river in this narrow upper part of the canyon. While these climbs are short, and meager they provide some mixed climbing for die hard Castlewood climbers. Be careful around the top as ice hides under snow, waiting for the unsuspecting climber to slip.
Getting There
The best approach to these climbs is from the top. Drive to the Southern Entrance and park at the second parking lots on the Right after the visitor's center. (I believe this parking lot is called Juniper Lot or something like that) Take the paved trail leading from the parking lot and follow it to the cliffs. There are two overlooks just off the trail with railing etc. Go to the Southern overlook to approach the climbs. The climbs are just below this overlook.
