Description
This small pinnacle is between the Hand and Finger Flatiron and directly above (west of) Mallory Cave. It does not resemble a shark's fin but has a rather pointed and spectacular summit. The Box looks much more like a shark's fin and is featured on the cover of the old Boulder Climbs North.
Getting There
For east face routes, take the Mallory Cave trail to the cave. To reach the back (west) side, continue on this trail past Mallory Cave until you can get into the gully west of the Finger Flatiron. Move down this gully (south), and the Shark's Fin will appear from behind the Finger Flatiron.
