Description
This large smoke-stained cave is the centerpiece of the Hell Area and features many radically steep classics. It is mostly hidden by a a giant scree cone which almost reaches the lip of the cave, offering great vantage points but also creating a potential decking hazard for some routes. Despite it's south facing aspect, the cave stays relatively cool on hot summer days.
Getting There
Hell Cave is located between El Diablo Wall (east flank) and Hell Wall (west flank). From El Diablo, follow a trail south which wraps clockwise around the scree cone to reach the cave.
