Description
This is the first system of rocks directly behind Reef #1. Its west face is tightly squeezed up next to the minor formation behind Reef #1. There is a few fun routes on it, most notably New Number Nine, and Ankles Away (on the subsummit called X Marks the Spot). This formation is rather complicated with gullies and several highpoints. The main summit is to the northwest, and "X Marks the Spot" is the steep, narrow fin of rock on the southeast part of the formation. Also, another minor summit in between on the east face has a route named Coral Reef on it.
Getting There
From South Seas' sign-in, take a left on the old road. Follow it until the same turnoff used for Reef #1, which is a right turn after passing all of the minor rock formations. Follow this for a short while, passing Reef #1. Reef #2 has climbs on all faces, and some approaches require squeezing through tight gullies.
