I'll be out the first week of November. We will be mostly climbing up in the various canyons(Black Velvet, etc.)doing trad stuff. What kind of weather, temps, etc. "in general" should we expect? Looks like the days are approx. 10hrs of light. Thx!

I was out there that time last year for a week and will be there 11/5-11/11 this year. Other than the shorter days the weather was great. We had highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's, pretty much perfect climbing weather. Black Velvet was a little chilly in the shade, but nothing a light pull over didn't rectify. Hopefully the weather will be the same this year so that the ticklist gets a bit shorter.

Any ideas on weather/temps over/near Thanksgiving? Might consider heading out that way for some turkey and climbing... Thanks!

It's the desert, so it's any body's guess.

Last year I froze my butt a few days in Nov. yet I have pic's of doing Johnny Vegas/Solar slab in rolled up long underwear and no shirt...
In Feb.

If it's sunny the biggest cooling factor is the wind.
No way to predict conditions that far off.

It could be snowing or you could be climbing in shorts and tee shirts in the sun/out of the wind.

It's a crap shoot, but then hey...
It's Vegas Baby !

Well about what I was thinking. Any suggestions for sunny multi-pitch up to mid 5.10ish?

Thanks!
