BETA PHOTO: San Antonio Falls from the approach on Fall Road.

Description

San Antonio Falls is an easy 3 tiered ice route that forms every few years. It used to form several times a season. If there is a freeze down in the suburbs, it just might be in condition.

Location

San Antonio Falls is located about 1/4 mile up Fall Road from the gate at Baldy Road. After walking around several bends, look for the falls on the left before reaching the Baldy trail. After ascending the ice, it is possible to scramble(you may want to rope up) up and left to descend the snow slope/avy chute to the left of the route.

Protection

Screws and a few smaller nuts or cams for the top.
