I saw some people were talking about going up Kiener's last week. Any one make it up? What are conditions like on Broadway and the third class terrain above the rock pitch? Thanks...

Some friends of mine are doing it Saturday, so they should have a full report with some nice pics.

They said as of 3-17-12 the conditions were great.

Hiked up there last Saturday to base of longs with intentions of doing lambs slide to kieners. Conditions looked great from the little we saw. Didn't send climb though.

I watched 2 people go up Lambslide and start traversing Broadway ??

I wasn't there, but my friends were. They were the party of three.

I was in the party of two...The conditions were pretty decent especially for a "winter ascent?" with mid-40s on top.

Lambs slide was in great shape as was broadway, although it was starting to get pretty soft when we were on it. The short rock pitch was pretty straightforward, and it was a snow slog to the top on increasingly soft and inconsistent snow.

Great day with only 5-10mph winds.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
