Hi!

I'm fresh out of college and trying to spend the summer climbing in the Yosemite area (starting late May). I've spent a couple weeks doing moderate multi-pitch in Yosemite but I'm just itching to get on those big walls. I have no practical aid experience but would like to progressively build up the skills to do The Nose by late July.

Skills and assets:
- been climbing for 3 years (2 years trad) all across the US
- confident 5.9 trad leader (although I recently onsighted 11a in Moab?!?! Not sure what that's worth)
- decent amount of gear (double rack, brass offsets, aiders/ascenders)
- enough psych to share with all of Camp 4

A little more about me....I grew up in the bay area, moved out to the Midwest for college. Starting med school in the fall so I'm intent on ticking off all my biggest climbing goals before then.

Let me know if you're interested in an all-out struggle fest to summit El Cap!

Michael,

I'm looking for someone to do a wall with, my first!  Had planned to do the Lost Arrow Direct with a couple friends but looks like it is falling through.  I'd also be interested in Leaning Tower West Face.  Other possibilities would be something on Liberty Cap or Washington Column.  I've got a large single rack with some doubles and quite a few micronuts, haul bags and pulley, plenty of ropes, etc. etc.  Sounds like if we combined racks we would be good to go.  My time slot would be next week, June 4-6 or 7 if needed.

I'm a bit older than you--have been trad climbing for about 35 years--and am in relatively good shape right now.  Leading Yosemite 5.9.  Let me know if you are interested.  I live just a little over an hour out of the valley.  Phone number is 209-878-3873.

Regards,

Rob
