Grades are subjective and generally make no sense to me. To log new boulders, I am forced to use the V-scale as a way to communicate difficulty. I try to suggest a number that is within 3+/- of what it felt like to me. I also don't care to sandbag or degrade other people's experience and I prefer to discuss a problem by name, not by the proposed number.
