Description Suggest change

This could also be known as The Mountaineering Training Route. An incredibly chill option if you are waiting your turn for The Long Face. Start with a short boulder problem past a bolt then mantle up a series of grassy ledges to the short headwall (crux). Take into consideration, although mostly low fifth class, protection is thought out for ledge fall but a beginning leader may feel on edge.

NOTE: in the 80's there was a barely protected route that moved through the grassy ledges heading right around the buttress, and there is practically no hold on the wall that hasn't been touched 1000 times by a top-roper, but this line is a dedicated lead option to supplement dropping ones pack for the excellent Long Face route and is FAR less sustained.

Location Suggest change

40 feet right of The Long Face, 15 feet right of the obvious low angle corner. Look for the brown bolt hanger left of a small tree.

Protection Suggest change

7 bolts, lower-off anchors
