Description Suggest change

Mobius, a twist in the fabric of space where time becomes a loop from which there is no escape. The divine thought (alpinism), the interconnection of two random thoughts (Nordic skiing and ice climbing). Möbius Dick, the elusive white whale, a floe that doesn’t form every winter. Warm melt/freeze cycle seasons where skiing is garbage. Nordic ski approach from North Fork Park. Then boot pack 0.4 miles to the base of Coldwater Falls. This climb ranges from WI1 to WI4. The final headwall being the steepest. After this, the ice disappears. Multiple small pitches broken up by snow bridges and frozen creek crossings. As difficult or easy as you want it to be. Can be soloed, or easily protected. Screws, nuts, even small to mid sized cams. Tri-cams won’t work though, because they never work and should be used as ornaments only. A slog of an experience. An alpine biathlon. But what else should you do on your Winter weekends? Vape and watch football? I THINK NOT.

Location Suggest change

Coldwater Falls, from North Fork Park.

Protection Suggest change

Ice screws, cams, nuts. Hexes even, but no tri-cams.
