Description Suggest change

A long and intimidating journey up the proud central rib of Upper Rock---a nearly continuous 150ft crack system. Chain anchor installed on top in 2025. The single button head bolt was replaced in July 2025---thanks to the Helena Climber's Coalition for the bolt puller loan. With a single 60m, rap to the P1 anchor of Stiller's Crack and down, or scramble down to the Juniper/Touch of Grey anchors (exposed).

Location Suggest change

Start up the cracks on either side of the small fir tree at the base (right crack is easier but further to good gear). Aim for a dihedral/shallow chimney to small triangular roof visible from the base. Looker's right of the obvious chimney of Stiller's.

Protection Suggest change

Double rack to 3", heavy on the small stuff (minimum doubles in fingers).
