Description
A more approachable take on Brimstone, this link-up skips the bouldery V7 start of the High Water Traverse and begins directly in the heart of The Blight. From here, follow the same rising diagonal path: move right into the familiar slot pocket, and fire through the reachy, tensiony moves into Reanimator’s polished crux and finishing sequence. While less pumpy than Brimstone, Fire still demands precision and commitment—especially in warm conditions.
The harder, full-length link-up, Brimstone (5.13d), was reportedly completed by Geoff Weigand in the early ‘90s during the golden age of American Fork development, serving as a tough training circuit for local crushers.
Fire is a worthy training burn and a standalone send in its own right. Name appropriately chosen to accompany its bigger brother—together they are Fire and Brimstone.
