Description Suggest change

Gifted is an excellent, strenuous bolted crack climb above the second pitch of Squaretooth / Sponge Bob Square Pants anchor.

Start from a ledge at a bolted rap anchor.  Steep, strenuous hand and finger jamming past several bolts leads to 5.10 face and crack when the angle eases off for a couple more bolts to a bolted rap anchor.

The crack is sharp and has some very useful broken stuff inside.  The bolts are on the right side of the crack and there is very little on that side of the face for the feet, making for little opportunity to rest.

Location Suggest change

Located on the Little Pinnacle - Right Side (Mini Buttress), above the finish of Sponge Bob Square Pants / Squaretooth second pitch.

Its possible to access from the far left side of Bighorn Wall via some exposed low 5th class, but suggest that climbing Sponge Bob Square Pants to the start of the upper face (that route's bolt #6) and heading right to loose easy scrambling to Gifted's starting anchor is best.  You could climb all of Sponge Bob Square Pants 5.10a / Squaretooth second pitch as an approach also but may dislodge loose stuff on anyone below.  In any case, be careful of folks below on the popular routes here.

Protection Suggest change

14 bolts, quick draws, 70 meter rope, lower off.
