Hell on Wheels

Hell on Wheels is a CLASSIC in the making. It has some loose rock here and there, but for the most part, the rock overall is high quality with very interesting holds and outrageous positioning.

P1. Climb the primo hand crack on the left side of a massive, right-facing dihedral on the right side of Tower 1. When the crack thins to a seam, step left a few feet, and follow good holds up and back right to a good foot ledge. Build gear anchor here, 100'.

P2. From the anchor, traverse left to a bolt, and the follow the incredibly exposed arete up to big ledge with a single bolt (thin crack next to it). Build gear anchor here, 100'.

P3. From the anchor, climb up and left aiming for a right-facing flake. Once on top of the flake, you will see a crack system in primo rock above you. Follow it (crux) to the next belay ledge. Build gear anchor here, 100'.

P4. Climb up, following good holds on good rock, to yet another perfect belay ledge, then build your gear anchor just below the ledge, 90'.

P5. Climb up into a left-facing dihedral, and follow path of least resistance to the summit, 60'.

Descent: simply traverse the summit ridge south to the bolted anchor of The White Spirit. Four 100' rappels get you to the ground.

It is located on the right side of Tower 1. The climb starts just left of The White Spirit in a splitter hand crack to the right of a giant, right-facing dihedral.

A standard rack to 4" with doubles of 0.3 - 2" recommended.
