Description
A fitting finale to the development of this sector, The Last Tributary diverges from Aqua Augusta at bolt six, forging its own path up a blunted arete. As the most difficult route in this sector, it demands precision, confidence, and a willingness to commit when the way forward feels uncertain.
From the branch point, trend upward on easier terrain until reaching a sloping and horizontal seam. The path above this seam will demand trust in marginal footholds, balance and tension, and long moves A brief reprieve follows before the route presses upward, navigating the exposed arete to the final bolt. This guards the route's true test: a committing slab crux over a bulge, where reading the subtle features and trusting hard-to-see feet become essential for success. Push through, and you’ll find yourself standing atop the proudest line The Aqueducts- Upper Tier.
True to its name, The Last Tributary is a fun and demanding addition to the Colosseum's "waters", likely representing the final development of this entire area.
