Description Suggest change

A great rest day route at a moderate grade and good views all around.

Pitch 1: 5.7 45m - Start up the crack filled slabs and work towards a chimney and left facing corner. Belay on ledge.

Pitch 2: 5.7 - Climb up and right out of the chimney on good edges and jugs, continuing to a nice crack. After the crack climb up and left through a squeeze and belay from large sloping ledge. (Beware of loose rock)

Pitch 3: 5.6 10m - Move the belay up and left traversing onto the exposed face and a great stance.

Pitch 4: 5.6 15m - Climb up the obvious face on good jugs and a well protected crack.

Enjoy views of the Elephant's perch and surrounding area before heading down the standard Perch descent.

Location Suggest change

This route is located on what we've referred to as "The Ivory Tower" an obvious feature in the skyline lookers right of The Tusk. From camp, hike up the any of the gullies to the right of the Tusk being mindful of loose rock. You are aiming for the big slabs at the bottom right of the tower.

Protection Suggest change
