The landowners have asked that if you want to park or stay the night on their property that you give a donation of $8/night and $3/day. There are donation boxes.
You can also call to reserve a spot on the private property at 435.851.1486.
Please respect this private property and use the restrooms in the upper canyon for now. Note that car camping in day use parking spots is NOT allowed in the upper canyon on the Forest Service property.
Be respectful, no dogs, and leave the canyon when nature calls.
Description
Fun little route and a worthy addition to Box, especially at this grade where there aren't too many choices. After bouldering up the intro slab to the first bolt, the route works out the steep wave and onto the headwall through a series of pockets, side pulls, and crimps. If you are an endurance climber, you might find it to be bouldery. If you are a boulderer, you might find it pumpy? Hop on and see for yourself!
Gets a window of sun from about 12:30 to 2pm depending on the month. Otherwise shaded.
Location
As you walk north into Box Canyon through the long entrance corridor, there is a wall directly in front of you facing south. This route goes up the center of this wall. The first 15' or so is just bouldering up the slab to get to the steep stuff. Directly across the corridor from Loser and the other Cobble Roof routes. Maybe 20' right of Cobble Gobble. Around the corner and left of Pasties. The route does not go all the way to the top. There are two chain anchors dangling from the roof at about 2/3 height.
