Description Suggest change

Probably the longest continuous crack that you can climb on the main hill. A 40m rope is just enough. While there's nice-looking hand jams pretty much all the way, they are buried so deep inside the flare that the whole thing feels more like an offwidth.

The technical crux is low down for most, where the crack is too thin for hands, but what really makes this climb hard is how physical and sustained it is. Placing gear is awkward because of the flare.

Location Suggest change

Just after the main road's last switchback before the summit, locate a climber's trail that goes downhill on the north slope. Follow the trail downhill for about 0.2 miles - past Trunk Tribute, Ben&Bill and Hard&Soul. Walk around skier's right (east) to get to the base.

You can also take the Out of Sight trail from the road, and follow it past The Learning Cave and Pac-Man.

Protection Suggest change

C4 cams size #0.5 to #3, with doubles #1-#2. Extra #2s probably won't go unused. Two-bolt anchor.

For toproping, make sure to bring at least two cams around #2-3 for directionals. Without directionals you'd look at a massive swing into an oak tree.
