Stone Hill's Bachar-Yerian!?

Crack to sustained, runout face on immaculate rock, Why Think? is quartzite climbing at its best ... but here there's an entrance fee ...

Rated R for ground fall potential through the crux, safe once you get good gear in the "second horizontal." If you want to lead this at PG, you can pre-place a (bomber) .3 with an alpine draw in the "second horizontal.".

"Fun" fact: The developer, Greg Stenger, only placed one bolt on the route because he only had a hand drill at the time -- he says it was easier to just wire the moves than hand drill a second bolt ... at the crux ... in range of decking. He suggests you work the moves, too, if you plan to go ground up on this classic headpoint.

Location Suggest change

Hold Up Bluffs North, just right of the Dental Floss "chimney."

Protection Suggest change

One bolt, gear to 3, chains.
