Description Suggest change

After leading the bolted sport route on the left side of Chumstick Snag (5.9?) you can top rope this harder slab route. Rock quality is poor and tiny sandstone holds fall off adding to the difficulty of this route. However, the climbing is interesting and with determination you will reach the top! Keep your expectations low and you will enjoy this little climbed route.

Recommendations:

- This route would be especially scenic at sunset or sunrise. The rock gets quite hot midday. Bring lots of water as there is little shade and no water along the approach.

- Talk to Marty, a nearby property owner, before embarking on the hike to Chumstick Snag and he will give you all the beta you need.

- Don't get deterred by the bears, cougars, rattlesnakes, heat and mosquitos that inhabit this area.

Location Suggest change

This is located at Chumstick Stag, a scenic rock pinnacle off the Chumstick Highway.

Protection Suggest change
