Warning Access Issue: Bad Bolt Submission Form & USFS press releases DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Climb the inviting crack (mostly hands), and finish by pulling over a roof that is easier than it looks from the ground. Save a #4 for the top.

To descend, continue upward to the top of the formation, and find a deep slot running toward Reynolds Hill. Descend the slot, and do an exposed but easy traverse left around the corner to the two bolt anchor at the top of Granite Staircase, a 5.11b sport climb. Some may want a rope to reach this anchor. From the base of the rappel, it's a short scramble back to your packs.

Location Suggest change

It is on the Eastern end of the north side of Granite Staircase. An obvious crack leads to a roof.

Protection Suggest change

Cams to BD #4 with emphasis on big hands.
