Description Suggest change

This climb is normally ascended in early fall, in that it is located in a large avalanche chute.  The first pitch is short Wi2 ice which leads to a crux 6 meter curtain.  The climb continues with moderate ice to a total of approximately 70 m

Location Suggest change

Off of the Seward Highway, take Portage Valley Road.  Drive approximately 5 miles until you reach the Portage Valley Visitor Center.  Bullwinkle is South of the Visitor center, rather high on the mountain.  A large avalanche chute is visible with two ice climbs on climbers right of the chute, the first being Bullwinkle, and the 2nd Dreams of Brown Moose.

Protection Suggest change

Screws, Alders exist but be prepared to set a v-thread.
